Government of Balochistan (in Exile) Condemns the Execution of Baloch by the Islamic Republic of Iran

KALAT, Balochistan: As retaliation to the Taasoki incident in which high-ranking Iranian intelligence agents were killed by Baloch freedom fighters, the Iranian regime has launched massive military operations against the Baloch. Over 30,000 armed forces equipped with latest weaponry are attacking and murdering non-combatant Baloch people in Iranian-occupied Balochistan, especially around the provincial capital, Zahedan (Dozaap).

It is believed that the Iranian secret agencies and para-military forces have kidnapped or detained and tortured thousands and killed several hundred ethnic Baloch. It is difficult to confirm any news from the remote region due to restrictions imposed on journalists by the occupying forces. But, the displaced Baloch people from this area are brining news of the atrocities being committed by the Iranian forces.

Since the beginning of this operation, the Iranian forces were unable to have direct encounters with the Baloch resistance forces. Due to their frustration, the regime’s forces have resorted to using gunship helicopter and fighter jets to conduct indiscriminate bombardment of innocent Baloch villagers, farmers, shepherds, and livestock.

Last week, more than 10 Baloch non-combatants were executed in Zahedan prison. The Iranian government accused them of helping the Baloch armed resistance. The Islamic Republic of Iran is known for using cruel methods of torture and extra judicial executions.

The Government of Balochistan in Exile condemns the Iranian regime for the extra judicial detention, torture and execution of Baloch people in Iran. The barbaric acts of the Iranian regime are gross human rights violations, and it must be stopped immediately. The international community must raise their voice and pressure the Iranian regime to end their military operation in Balochistan.

Mir Azaad Khan Baloch
General Secretary
The Government of Balochistan in Exile
