A message from Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti to the Baloch nation

KALAT, Balochistan – The Baloch tribes in Pakistani-occupied Balochistan are setting aside their differences and forming a united force to liberate Balochistan. This metamorphosis in Baloch consciousness does not need the support of any tribal chiefs (Nawabs or Sardars) or political leaders. This is a grass-root movement for the struggle to free Balochistan; and anyone who is proud to be known as an ethnic Baloch is willing and ready to fight for the Baloch cause.

There are indications evident everywhere in the present crisis in Pakistan that Balochistan will be liberated. The only pertinent question that remains to be answered is when will Balochistan become an independent country, not how and why.

In Pakistani-occupied Balochistan, the wheel for Baloch independence is in motion now; and the freedom movement is gaining unstoppable momentum. The Pakistani government can no longer prevent the aspirations of the Baloch nation to gain their freedom. The end of Pakistani occupation of Balochistan is now in sight, and the Baloch nation is ready to break the shackles of slavery and run for freedom.

The Baloch people now understand the true nature of the Muslim Punjabi tyranny after the brutal murder of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti by the Pakistani armed forces, and his controversial burial afterwards.

Until a few months ago, even the martyred Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti believed and supported the idea that the Baloch people could coexist with the rest of Pakistan. But, it finally dawned on him that he was wrong in trusting the Muslim Punjabi-dominated Pakistani government and military, and that the Baloch people will continue to be enslaved by the occupying forces as long as Balochistan remains a marginalized province of Pakistan.

Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, realizing his mistake, wanted to correct the course for the future of Balochistan. But, time, age and health did not leave him with many choices. After negotiations for a peaceful resolution failed with the occupying forces because of the arrogance of the Punjabi-dominated government, he decided to lead the Baloch nation by example. He fearlessly fought the well-equipped Pakistani armed forces and was killed in action as a valiant Baloch warrior.

Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti decided the way he wished to die because he wanted to leave a clear message written in his own blood for the Baloch nation. His death signifies that the Baloch nation must unite, fight and liberate Balochistan, as there is no future for the Baloch people to coexist as a second-class citizen under the rule of the Muslim Punjabis. In fact, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti has lighted the candle of Baloch enlightenment to lead them to freedom.

The spirit of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti lives within every true and sincere Baloch. His wish for each and every Baloch is to be a free person. He has shown the right path to the Baloch nation to take: Liberate Balochistan at all cost.
